The All-Star weekend for Kyle Larson was just one of those weekends on which a driver cements his superiority of talent, skill, and poise over their competition in a pretty blunt way. After all, Larson took home the big checks from the Truck race and the Cup race at North Wilkesboro Speedway, with the million-dollar check coming after a very dominant display on the track.
And even though this win wouldn’t add to Larson’s win tally of the season, which is 2 so far, it really proved why he is one of the best in the modern era of the sport.
But speaking of his win tally for the year, it’s true he could’ve had a few more trips to the victory lane this year if not for one name in particular, the name which was called out by NASCAR spotter Brett Griffin as he pointed to Larson’s insane talent.

NASCAR Insider points to Kyle Larson’s insane talent and Ross Chastain ruining his year
Speaking in a recent episode of the Door Bumper Clear podcast, Griffin claimed that if Ross Chastain hadn’t altered the course of Larson’s races, the Hendrick Motorsports driver would’ve had a bigger win tally at this point.
“If Ross Chastain doesn’t keep wrecking Kyle Larson, he’s probably got three more wins this year,” Griffin said. “He’s the fastest guy out there.”

Interestingly enough, Bubba Wallace also had taken a jibe at Ross Chastain when it comes to Kyle Larson.
During a post-race interview, Wallace was asked whether Larson’s dominance and his pulling away to a win in which he led at one point by over 10 seconds was a result of the track or short-track racing, to which the #23 driver replied, “Hell it’s been like that ever since he got in the #5 car.”

“So, every once in a while he’ll slip up or Ross [Chastain] will get to him and take him out.”
With that said, are you of the opinion too that the Trackhouse Racing driver is responsible for Larson’s win tally being lower than what it should’ve been this year?
