Even though the season still hasn’t ended and perhaps it could be too early to say so, one could make a pretty good case about Toyota TRD being one of the biggest losers in NASCAR in 2022. Not only did they lose Kyle Busch, but they also lost Kyle Busch Motorsports.
However, for Toyota, naturally, the only way to go forward is to look forward. And with the way things are developing for them, at least in the Truck Series, that’s exactly what could be in the works.
But someone who could be dealt a heavy hand in this whole deal is Hailie Deegan.

The thing is, David Gilliland Racing, who Deegan races for in the Truck Series, recently announced they’d be shifting from Ford to Toyota in 2023. In fact, three of their four drivers have also been revealed: Corey Haim, Tanner Gray, and Taylor Gray.
Now, there is still a chance that Deegan could get the fourth spot.
But considering she moved away from Toyota not so long ago to Ford, especially after her claim of being “promised a lot of things” that didn’t come true, it seems like she could have difficulty finding a ticket back.
BREAKING: @dgr_racing will return to @ToyotaRacing next season, with a re-branded NASCAR Truck Series program known as TRICON Garage.
The team will field four entries in the Truck Series, with @CoreyHeim_, @tannergray5, and @TaylorGray17_ competing for the title.#NASCAR

Kyle Busch needs to stop acting like a victim according to NASCAR insider
Quite recently, the future Richard Childress Racing driver had spoken candidly about how he was let down by his soon-to-be ex-boss, Joe Gibbs. This was something that didn’t really sit well with Brett Griffin.
“If I were offered an eight-figure deal, and I didn’t take it, I don’t think I would play the victim right now,” Griffin said in a recent episode of the Door Bumper Clear podcast. This led Casey Boat to question him with, “Are you saying that’s what happened?”

“I said, if I were offered a ten-million-dollar plus deal and I turned it down, I don’t think I’d be trying to play the PR victim here,” the spotter clarified.
The spotter revealed that he was aware of “a couple of offers” that came Busch’s way in the summer that he didn’t take then, but could now be having a rethought of them.

“I bet Kyle Busch wishes he has the contract that he turned down back in front of him at this point in the year,” Griffin emphasized.
