Change can be very difficult sometimes, especially when someone has been in a familiar environment for a very long time. It is exactly what happened to Kyle Busch when he had to leave the Joe Gibbs Racing stable for Richard Childress Racing. And although some drivers maintain a good relationship with their former teams, one has to wonder if that would be the case with Kyle Busch and JGR from 2023 onwards.
Unfortunately, it seems that Busch is no longer following the Joe Gibbs Racing team on social media. So it would appear that there is a little bit of bad blood between the 2-time Cup Series champion and the team. Admittedly, he parted ways after a long saga that started when his long-time sponsor M&Ms decided to leave the sport. Since then, there were repeated assurances that they were working on a new deal. Unfortunately, it never came to pass, and RCR was quick to snap him up.

Is Kyle Busch following anyone associated with JGR?
The truth is, the 2-time Cup Series champion still has some ties with Joe Gibbs Racing. As it turns out, he is following JGR newcomer Ty Gibbs on Instagram. In essence, Gibbs is the driver who replaced him in the organization, but Kyle Busch bears no ill will against the youngster. Gibbs is the only Toyota-affiliated person that he is following on Instagram. Interestingly, Kyle Busch is also still following his former sponsor M&Ms on social media.
Now, the driver looks like he is ready to begin a new chapter with RCR. Meanwhile, Gibbs is all ready to officially kick off his NASCAR Cup Series debut. The big questions are, can Kyle Busch steer Richard Childress Racing to the victory lane, and can Ty Gibbs step into the big shoes left behind by Kyle Busch at Joe Gibbs Racing?
