Despite having a rather tough early season, 23XI Racing driver, it seemed Bubba Wallace had finally found his rhythm. The #23 driver was put out impressive performances lately. However, his last race at WWT Raceway was disastrous for the whole team. But both of its drivers going out with almost similar fates, it certainly seems like Wallace is finally back to form.

That, however, is not the reason why Denny Hamlin‘s driver has been in the headlines lately. During the grueling Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, the #23 Camry driver got in a heated exchange with veteran Aric Almirola in the pit lane.

What prompted Almirola to confront Wallace was the middle finger he popped at the veteran during the race.

Repentant Bubba Wallace Admits His Mistake as He Promises to Put a Stop

Last week’s eventful race certainly was thrilling. While Richard Childress Racing’s Kyle Busch clinched the victory, 23Xl Racing drivers evidently had a bad day on track. Both the #23 and #45 Toyota Toyotas developed brake failure, causing both cars to be deemed out of contention.

While this was last week’s case, the Coca-Cola 600 had an early incident between the Stewart-Haas Racing driver, Aric Almirola, and Bubba Wallace that caught the attention of the community. Though the race has several moments when the driver came side by side, Wallace popped the finger at Almirola, which clearly despised the veteran as he confronted the #23 driver in the pit lane.

Even his team boss, Denny Hamlin, condemned the immature act. And this week, Wallace has come out with a rather surprising stance. The driver admitted his mistake and vows to put a full stop there.

When SiriusXM NASCAR’s Claire B Lang asked the driver, “Do you have to be more careful now about doing or are you gonna stop what other people are doing?” Wallace replied, Oh, 100%, I need to stop doing it, it’s not a good look, right? And we all get that but what I’m getting at is it’s been going on for years.”

Bubba Wallace’s unwanted gesture has landed him in trouble once again. While fans are deeming his action unnecessary, his team boss and veteran Denny Hamlin has expressed his thoughts on the matter. Talking to his co-host on his super popular Action Detrimental podcast, Hamlin had sharp words for his driver.

The 23XI Racing co-owner said, “As his car owner, I don’t love it at all,” Hamlin said. “I mean, just keep your hands in your car. Just stop it. You’ve got some positive momentum on the racetrack. Let’s just chill for a little while and, you know, just take the dubs when you get them, and that’s running well.”

Furthermore, the 42-year-old driver also urged the driver to lose the attitude as he deemed it “out of style” and “childish.”

Hamlin added, “It’s out of style. Everyone needs — whoever still does it, needs to stop because it’s out of style. Stop doing it. It’s childish. It’s just not worth it. Like, you know, many times someone’s gotten the finger and the next thing you know, they just get dumped in the next corner because people take it personally. It’s not something you should probably do for sure.”
