And our hearts, though stout and brave
Still, like muffled drums, are beating
Funeral marches to the grave.
The lines by Henry Wordsworth Longfellow surmise how transient our lives are. A miserable truth shudders through each heart, and no measure of bravery can prepare one for the loss of a close one.
Owing to this fact, it seems that Tony Stewart is left to cope with such a tragedy that befell his teammate recently. As he comes to terms with how fleeting life can be, the NASCAR world joined him to pour their heartfelt condolences for the bereaved.

Tony Stewart pays his respects as he mourns the loss of his teammate
It has been over a month since the world of motorsports mourned the loss of the young racing prodigy Dilano Van Hoff. The 18-year-old racer, who was competing in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine race at Spa-Francorchamps, met with a harrowing crash and breathed his last. And it seems that a similar incident has shaken the motorsports world once again.
The notion of safety has been the primary concern and has occupied a decisive role in the development of motorsports. The governing authorities have surely introduced a number of safety measures to ensure that no life is compromised while enjoying the thrills of speed. However, these measures can only be restricted to the tracks. Out on highways, the situation can be very precarious.
On account of this, the world of NASCAR and NHRA is yet to come to terms with the devastating incident that claimed the life of budding race car driver Ashlea Albertson. The incident occurred when Ashlea’s car, being driven by Jacob Kelly, allegedly lost control and collided with another car, and eventually rolled over. As a result of which the young soul sustained heavy injuries and eventually succumbed to them.
Ashlea was a driver for Tony Stewart Racing’s #4 TQ Midgets Series car. As the world reels with the tragic demise of Ashlea Albertson, Tony Stewart, her team owner took to Instagram and posted the heart-wrenching news and the loss of his talented teammate.

I want to thank you, from my family, from myself, for making her feel like she was the best racer out there each and every time that she took the track.
“She was a good kid, a better person. She just loved racing, she loved the community and you all have done so much for her. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Please keep my family, her fiancé, and everybody who is going through this time in your thoughts and prayers.
“And those of you guys who are going to the track this weekend and enjoy racing, please know that all she wanted to was put on a show be entertaining, and be loved and respected by each and every one. God bless and enjoy life and every moment that it is. It’s precious,” added Mr. Albertson.
