If you’ve watched the Netflix docu-series on Bubba Wallace, you know Denny Hamlin likes meetings. Yes, meetings are essential to any organization, and yes, it differs from organization to organization.
But the way they go about at 23XI Racing is through meetings as one could’ve observed from the series.
However, one thing that also begged observation was the fact that Bubba Wallace is the opposite of Denny Hamlin when it comes to such meetings. And if it wasn’t clear, he made it clear recently.

Ahead of the race at Talladega, Wallace spoke about the measures his team is taking amidst the disastrous season they’re having. And it is his comments that might not please the owners of his team, especially Michael Jordan, who is pretty notorious for being extremely well prepared and methodical.
“We have these meetings and meetings and meetings about what to do and what not to do and I’m just sitting there in one ear and out the other because I’m like, ‘it doesn’t matter’,” Wallace said. “You can come up with game plans, and (expletive) goes through the roof when the green flag drops. So, we just need to continue to do what we do.”
“That’s what I tell Freddie [Kraft, spotter] every time I climb into the car. I say, ‘Hey man, let’s go out there and do what we do. Nothing different.’”
Bubba Wallace is having his best years in almost all aspects
Bubba Wallace addressed his poor first quarter of a season except for the season opener at the Daytona 500. He described how they’ve not been “firing on all cylinders” as a team, something that clearly reflects in their results.
However, despite that, Wallace claims he is as good as he has ever been.

In fact, in his own words, the 2022 season is the best year he’s had in his racing career so far.

“I feel like, honestly … that this has been the best year for me mentally, physically, showing up and being there ready to learn, ready to work and drive my ass off,” Wallace said.
