In a competitive and cutthroat world like NASCAR’s, fans might think of drivers as very selfish. But drivers are seldom that way and have a softer side to themselves off the track. They understand the privilege they have and the ability they possess to bring positive change to society. Kurt Busch is among those drivers; one of the most generous in NASCAR.

Kurt Busch is one of the veterans of the Cup Series. The 44-year-old from Las Vegas has been a part of the competition for 23 years, starting in 2000 with Roush Racing. Unfortunately, though, all those statements will have to be altered with past tense from now on.
2022 ended up being his last season in racing. Driving for 23XI Racing, Busch was involved in an accident at Pocono Raceway. Although a regulation accident, it turned out to be fatal for his career. Doctors recommended him to stop racing; he followed the advice.
Busch still continues to work for society, a practice he has been following for several years. With all the wealth he has accumulated, the $70 million man believes there’s room for sharing. He uses his wealth to contribute to social causes.

Most recently, Busch along with Toyota and the NASCAR Hall of Fame donated a check worth $6,400 to the Veterans Bridge Home. As part of their Holidays for Heroes program, the Veterans Bridge Home will help connect impoverished veterans to their families across the 50 states.
In the wealthy world of multi-millionaire drivers, there’s always room for giving. Hope more drivers draw inspiration from Busch and other drivers working for such initiatives.
Kurt Busch and the 23XI Racing family choose to share
This is not the first time that Busch has donated or worked for a social cause close to his heart; nor is he the only driver who does it. In fact, the 23XI Racing team and Bubba Wallace also involve themselves in such initiatives whenever they get a chance.
Last month, Busch along with Bubba’s Live To Be Different Foundation gave out Thanksgiving meals to more than 700 children. Collaborating with The Boys & Girls Club of Cabarrus County, they aided the after-school program to provide meals during the holiday season for the marginalized and underprivileged.

Bubba said, “I’m a product of Cabarrus County and I’m thankful to be in a position where I can make a difference. What better place to do that than at the Boys & Girls Club.”
Director of The Boys & Girls Club, Valerie Melton, appreciated all the help received. She said, “We recognized that this need existed for the families we serve and we committed to meeting it. While a portion of the program is funded by grants, a larger portion is funded by the community, making partnerships like this one instrumental in allowing us to fulfill this need.”
