The tributes keep pouring in for Jimmie Johnson as every weekend brings the 45-year-old closer to the end of his full-time NASCAR career.

Every track that Johnson is racing on these days comes up with a unique tribute to one of NASCAR’s greatest. The No. 48 car’s sponsor, Ally, has now joined the party.

Ally made their tribute even more special by including fans in a very unique way. Johnson will run a paint scheme for the No. 48 at the Martinsville race, that features the signatures of 10,000 fans on his car. Johnson revealed the same on a recent show.

This initiative gives his fans a chance to feel they are alongside Johnson as he races in his penultimate NASCAR race. “I’m excited to really have 10,000 more reasons to get the job done at Martinsville.

“I know my family has signed on the car. Exciting time. I’m really eager to get the car on the track and let it go,” Johnson expressed.

How the lucky fans can find their signatures on the 48

At the same time, the 10,000 lucky fans who made the cut will receive an email stating they earned the chance to ride along with the seven-time champion himself.

The first 10,000 fans who digitally added their signatures to www.signforjimmie.com earned the wonderful opportunity to feature on the iconic No. 48 car.

They can also find their names and signatures on the website and a model of where their signature will feature on the car will be shown to them.

In another great initiative, Ally donated $70,000 towards the Jimmie Johnson Foundation. This was revealed by Andrea Brimmer, Chief Marketing Officer at Ally.

This came as a surprise to Johnson, who had no idea whatsoever of the contribution and was quite moved by the gesture.

“I knew a lot of things that were going on, but not that. Thank you, Andrea, JB, everybody at Ally. It’s amazing how we’ve literally turned into a family in the last two years of working together.

“The way Hendrick and Ally and myself have all fit. We will put that $70,000 to great use through the Jimmie Johnson Foundation,” Johnson expressed.

The joint record NASCAR title-holder will take to the track at the Kansas Speedway this Sunday with just four races left in his illustrious full-time NASCAR career.

Fans will now eagerly look forward to the Martinsville race, to see Johnson drive with 10,000 signatures on his car. The race is on November 1st.
