Basketball and NASCAR are two of the most popular sports in the United States of America. Choosing between the two, in his career, our man Tony “The Smoke” Stewart has shown his prowess behind the steering wheel of Pontiacs, Chevrolets and Toyotas. But how adept is the man at slam dunking? In a recent episode of The Pat McAfee Show, the host asked Tony how his skills at Basketball were. To which his reply was not very promising.

Tony might have driven stock cars at a speed close to 200 mph, but when it comes to running across an almost 90 by 5o feet court and putting the ball through the basket, he nodded his head and called his skills “Terrible”.

Or should we say, nearest to the NBA legend Larry Bird and yet, farthest from the sport? As the curtains to the show rolled, Pat McAfee asked Tony about the current popularity of racing in their country. According to Pat, even kids love racing. It is indeed true, as the NASCAR community has seen the kids of many NASCAR vets like Kyle Busch and Clint Bowyer, racing from a very tender age.

“It is a career path, right?” asked Pat.

Tony could not have agreed more to anything, as he said, “That is a fact, you’re either born with a steering wheel in your hand or a basketball in your hand in the State until Peyton Manning came around.”

The show was going on in a carefree mood when Pat asked Tony, “How is the jumper, pretty good or no?”

Tony did not waste any time admitting his inability. He admitted that he lived just 5 miles away from Larry Bird and yet he is no good at the sport. He shook his head sideways and said, “I’m terrible. (Larry) Bird lives about 5 miles from me, bought down by Columbus, he’s got his Eagle Ranch and then I’ve got Hidden Hollow Ranch, pretty close.”

However, the show then went off in another direction that pointed more at how good Tony Stewart has done in his life and how successful he has become in his career.

The sale of Larry Bird’s 10,000-square-foot home worth $2.3 million happened in less than 3 months

With nothing out of place, Larry’s former 10,232-square-foot home sits in the heart of Indianapolis. It features a crystal-clear pool surrounded by a well-maintained yard of lush green grass. The property also has bedrooms that look like those in super expensive hotel suites and even houses a blue and gold basketball room. Besides being the residence of a Hall of Famer and the winner of 3 NBA rings, the beauty and conservation of the place enticed the buyers to purchase it.

Named the Indianapolis “Dream Home” in August 2002, Larry bought this mansion for $3.3 million and got it custom-built for himself and his wife Dinah. As per IndyStar.com, the property has five cozy bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and three luxurious fireplaces. The primary bedroom consists of a closet, a drawing room, a suite, and a garden tub. Not only that, there is a tennis court, multi-level patios, and a pool along with a kitchen attached to the pool house. The list of amenities does not seem to end as the grand mansion also holds a billiard room, a bar, a wine cellar, and a gym.
