Undoubtedly, it was a crazy day at the NASCAR Cup Series race at the Circuit of The Americas this past weekend. Bubba Wallace, known for his racing antics, had his confidence shaken in an incident involving Kyle Larson yet again. But Michael Jordan’s team President Steve Lauletta had something heartwarming to cheer him up.
Things got wild on the tracks of COTA on Sunday. Going into lap 12, Bubba Wallace seemed to have locked up the brakes of his #23 Toyota Camry during a sharp turn. This led to him crashing into Kyle Larson on the track. Wallace bumped hard into the rear of the #5 Chevrolet of the Hendrick Motorsports driver, and he spun out of the race.
The two already have been embroiled in controversy since the Las Vegas race last year.

Steve Lauletta’s heartwarming message for Bubba Wallace
Bubba Wallace owned up to his mistake post-race and was very upset. Considering how he has made ‘rookie mistakes twice in a row’ and how it all affects the team, he mentioned that if this is how he continues to race, he needs to be “replaced”.
But the 23XI Racing President, Steve Lauletta, came to comfort him as he recently posted on his Twitter, “This #23 @MoneyLion team and @BubbaWallace will fight and come back stronger with everyone’s support @23XIRacing #ForwardTogether #OneTeam.”

It would have been certainly hard for Wallace to be out of the race with a damaged car and confidence. He comes off as a robust driver and, given his history with Larson, it might also raise a lot of questions among their fans. As far as the intention is considered, it would be unwise for someone to just intentionally wreck someone when it will also affect them badly.

Love Bubba, I wish he wasn’t so hard on himself but I get it, with the BS internet trolls, from being excepted to win in and out, it’s the beginning of the season but I know Bubba will bounce back and win! All the loyal Bubba fans love him and appreciate him!🤘🏻❤️

It was especially disappointing for a fan as Bubba was being considered a favorite to win at COTA. His love for his team superseding his personal achievements found a mention in the comments section.
Hate that it ended that way today but he’ll bounce back. He just cares so much for the team and wanting to succeed, even in places he does traditionally run well. We got him 👍🥰
