Challenging weather or a 600-mile grind, whatever the reason, Coca-Cola 600 saw a total of 16 caution periods. So let’s just say a lot happened during the longest race of the season. One particular incident that ended up taking all the limelight was the major wreck involving Chase Elliott and Denny Hamlin. So much so that it even overshadowed Ryan Blaney’s much-anticipated win, after a 59-race-long dry spell. However, that wasn’t the only contentious battle that took place on Monday.

Charlotte’s crowd also witnessed an off-track scuffle involving Bubba Wallace and the Stewart-Haas Racing driver, Aric Almirola. Bubba had an altercation with Kyle Larson last year in Vegas, during which he aggressively shoved the 5 ft 6 in driver multiple times. However, this time around, it looked like he was on the receiving end as Almirola returned the favor on the pit road.

However, the scuffle was broken up by security—apparently, by the same guy who had broken up the fistfight between Ross Chastain and Noah Gragson a few weeks earlier!

In response to these events, veteran driver and media personality Kenny Wallace shared his thoughts on Bubba Wallace and the recurring incidents he has been involved in.

Kenny Wallace Talks About the Shoving Incident While Giving Valuable Advise to Bubba Wallace

During the Coca-Cola 600 race, heavy rain forced a stoppage on lap 157, and the drivers headed toward the garage. As they made their way through the pit lane to their respective teams, an unexpected confrontation unfolded between the driver from Tony Stewart’s team, Aric Almirola and Bubba Wallace. Tempers flared, leading to Almirola shoving Wallace, reminiscent of a previous incident where Wallace did the same with Kyle Larson at Las Vegas last year.

Kenny Wallace, in his YouTube video titled “The Kenny Wallace Show,” shed light on the recent incident. He revealed that Almirola approached Wallace, questioning why he had flipped him off. Kenny further explained that Bubba cussed with him, which provoked Almirola to shove him.

Kenny expressed his desire for Bubba to handle these situations more maturely, urging him to quit flipping people off. Talking to Bubba directly through his show, he emphasized, “It’s not making you look good, it’s making you look worse. If you want to hold your ground, hold your ground like a man, but don’t MF everybody and flip everybody off. I don’t like that look for you Bubba.”

Kenny also inferred Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan should speak to him about these matters. He concluded by saying that Jordon should be advising Bubba to avoid such behavior, reminding him “Bubba Stop.”

What Did Tony Stewart’s Driver Say After His Altercation With Bubba Wallace?

The incident that ignited the conflict between Aric Almirola and Bubba Wallace occurred in turn 3 when a driver from Stewart-Haas Racing made contact with car #23, leaving Almirola feeling frustrated. Earlier in the race, Wallace had flipped Almirola off, further fueling the tension between them. In response, Almirola retaliated by shoving Wallace on the pit lane. The experienced driver did not hold back during his post-race interviews, expressing his views boldly.

As per NASCAR.com, the #10 Ford driver stated, “He ran me all over the race track and then he got by me and he shot me the bird so I just went to ask him ‘Why are you throwing me the bird,’ like I gave him a lot of room and gave him a lot of respect and he started mouthing off and just saying a lot of bad things and cussing.”

I got my point across. I let him know that it’s not acceptable. He’s not gonna cuss at me and shoot me the bird.” Almirola said.

Almirola concluded his statement without providing further details about the shoving incident. He said “Just typical Bubba. He just runs his mouth. He’s got a chip on his shoulder so it’s all part of it.”
