After a shocking heel turn in NASCAR, controversialist and 23XI Racing co-owner Denny Hamlin is back in the headlines. While it was his tussle with his friend and golfing partner, Kyle Larson, and his reasoning that made him notorious, this week, NBA great Michael Jordan’s partner took a U-turn, subtly admitting his mistake. The veteran Joe Gibbs Racing driver made an effort to squash the squabble in the most fascinating way possible by making use of his partner, Michael Jordan for his $20 million worth of assets.

While the 42-year-old took advantage of his friendship with Larson to steal off a win at Pocono Raceway, claiming his 7th win at the track (most by any driver), Hamlin cleverly used his partner’s might to settle things with his buddy and move on.

Now, the whole Denny Hamlin-Kyle Larson debacle needs no introduction, as the community was fuming with rage witnessing the veteran’s late move to snatch the win from his friend and HMS speedster, Kyle Larson. In the closing minutes of the race, Larson, who was in the lead, was led into the wall as Hamlin sneaked up on the inside, filling up the gap.

The #11 Toyota and #5 Chevy went side by side until the Chevy was in the wall at turn 1. This sent shockwaves across NASCAR nation, as this wasn’t the first time Hamlin pulled off his standout move. Consequently, all hell broke loose with the community calling out the JGR driver, but instead of admitting his mistake, Hamlin justified his action, making fans more furious.

However, days later, Hamlin seems to admit his mistake as he gifted Larson who just turned 32 years old an exclusive birthday present, saying, “I didn’t realize it was a birthday present, it was more of an olive branch of sorry and you know, here you go.” Hamlin who is a business partner of Michael Jordan smoothly used his connection to gift Larson a pair of exclusive Jordan shoes.

He said, “I got him something; I got him a pair of shoes from the Grove from this past week and I got him the new Grove uh Jordan ball marker and I delivered it to him before the media this week.” Now for the unversed, Grove 23 is the NBA legend’s private 18-hole Golf course in Florida tailor-made as per the 6’6 guard’s requirements. The citrus grove turned Golf course has opulence in abundance with drones delivering drinks to players, a luxurious clubhouse hosing a lavish bar area, a private lounge, etc.

Well, gifting something as exclusive as Grove 23 apparel is certainly no joke. The private course is indeed the epitome of luxury. While the course itself is a hard nut to crack even for experienced golfers, its ingenuity and innovation are out of this world. Hamlin continued his rant, mentioning its nuances.

Grove you know which is those who dont know that’s Jordan’s golf course here in Florida like there’s exclusive apparel there that you can’t get anywhere else, it might be shoes, golf shoes might be shirts whatever and usually I get a request from the buddies to pick up a few things from there, I didn’t take, they didn’t ask for me to get them something but I just thought I’d be a friend and get him some stuff,” said the veteran flexing about his super cool partner.

Denny Hamlin looks to settle things by gifting Larson a birthday present with the help of Michael Jordan and delivering it to him. We can certainly speculate that things are just water under the bridge. And to substantiate this, let us look at what happened at Richmond this past week.

The HMS driver just wasn’t having a great day, even if it was his birthday, finishing 19th. On the other hand, Hamlin got a decent finish, crossing the line second. Starting Stage 2, the #11 was having a handful after a tough battle with SHR‘s #41 (Ryan Preece) when Larson, who was eyeing a turnaround, literally moved the #11 Toyota of Hamlin, making way for the $5 Chevy.

With Larson showing his displeasure on the track, things don’t look good for the veteran especially given his past stints with all 4 of HMS drivers.
