During the podcast, Wallace said, “Obviously he’s the ultimate competition, and the first time I met him at Daytona, we were sitting on his bus, his bus in on the backstretch. He said, ‘Hey man, I heard that you suck at golf’, and just kept smoking a cigar and I was like, alright, guess I’m not playing with you.”
He added, “It’s been really cool having him there. Like to see how invested he is. Like he has been on top of my box the whole race and a lot of the crew guys though oh I thought he would he’d stick around for 20 laps and then go to the suite. It’s like no he loves it. He’s invested 100%.”
Somewhere during the conversation, LaJoie asked if Wallace had golfed with Jordan yet, to which the 28-year-old driver said no. LaJoie then follows up by asking if Wallace isn’t good enough to golf and the latter says “yeah, basically.”
