Denny Hamlin Flaunts the Perks of Being Michael Jordan’s Partner at “Best Time of the Month”

Being friends with famous people has its own perks. And when you are friends with Michael Jordan, they are just unimaginable. Jordan had a reputation for sending his famous Air Jordan Nike shoes to his friends and teammates back in his NBA days. Last year, Michael Jordan got his former teammate at the Chicago Bulls, Scott Williams, brand new North Carolina gear as the latter was about to approach Final Four.

And now, the NASCAR world is also getting to see a glimpse of the NBA legend’s generosity.

Back in the 1980s, a 6-foot-6-inch rookie started his career in the NBA. Recognizing his outstanding talent, bigshot sports brands like Adidas and Nike came up to him to sponsor him. This young man was looking forward to joining hands with Adidas, but his parents convinced him to partner with Nike. That is how the legendary Air Jordan sneakers came into being and the rest is history.

Being Jordan’s partner in owning NASCAR team 23XI Racing, Denny Hamlin revealed he receives Air Jordan sneakers from his friend almost every month. Who would not like a pair of brand new Jordans delivered to you, that too, from the man himself?

The #11 driver for Joe Gibbs Racing posted a story on his Instagram displaying his collection of over 25 Jordan sneakers, and it seems he is not sure where to keep them. As it is almost sure that more is to come in, the Actions Detrimental host tagged the official page of Air Jordan @jumpman23 and wrote, “Best time of the month”.

From Air Jordan 35s for Blake Griffin to a Jordan Tatum 1 “barbershop” for Jayson Tatum, NBA fans have seen an exclusive array of customized sneakers from Michael Jordan’s brand back in 2021. Thankfully, NBA fans were not the only ones who got to witness custom sneakers for their favorite athletes.

The brand shifted its focus toward designing shoes that would be especially beneficial for racing and hence the birth of the special edition of Air Jordan 1 ‘Racer’.

The base of the sneakers is made of fire-resistant suede material and has the number 11 engraved on it. Featuring the unmistakable Purple and orange theme of 23XI Racing, this shoe substitutes the swooshes on the sides with oversized Jumpman logos in black. Denny had tweeted a promotional post for his new kicks and commented, “You will run faster, jump higher”.
