“It’s F***ing Fantastic” – Denny Hamlin Puts His Money on Michael Jordan’s Golf Course Instead of the “Daytona 500 of Golf”

Experiencing the thrill of playing on some of America’s most exquisite golf courses is a dream for many golf enthusiasts. One such course garnering attention lately is Michael Jordan‘s golf haven. Recently, Jordan’s business partner and 23XI Racing co-owner, Denny Hamlin, expressed his preference for Jordan’s course over another renowned one, dubbed “the Daytona 500 of golf.”

While speaking on the latest episode of the Actions Detrimental podcast, Hamlin stated, “I’ve never played Augusta. I would love to play Augusta. But from what I hear from the people that have played, they said, ‘Oh, the golf course is amazing, but the experience is terrible. So stuffy, like it’s just you can’t do this. You can’t do that.’ Which is the total opposite of Michael Jordan’s course.”

Denny Hamlin reminisced about his initial encounter with Jordan’s golf course, wherein he had inquired about the phone and hat policies of the club. “They’re like, ‘let me just sum this up for you, there are no rules. We have no rules. Our carts, the golf carts, they run about 35 to 40 miles an hour.’ You can get air on every hole, like drive into the green. It’s f***ing fantastic.”

Hamlin shared that Jordan’s course embraces a laid-back approach, promoting a more enjoyable golfing experience. Players are expected to finish a round within three hours and can wear casual attire.

Though Denny Hamlin conceded he lacks the skill to tackle Augusta’s challenges, saying “It is you know the Daytona 500 of golf,” he’d choose Jordan’s course over it any day. The easygoing atmosphere and sense of camaraderie make it a more enticing option, despite Augusta’s preeminent status.
