Denny Hamlin and NBA legend Michael Jordan are co-owners of the 23XI Racing team. Hamlin is obviously more hands-on because he is an active racer himself. However, Jordan still manages to find time to attend races and monitor his team’s meteoric progress.

Media personnel have managed to capture rare photos of Jordan in the paddock, but Hamlin revealed a small secret.

Hamlin said, “He loves racing. Trust me. He loves going to NASCAR races. A lot of times, TV likes to show him when he is in attendance. But a lot of times he comes, and they don’t even see him. He likes to sneak in, sneak out.”

“He’s a guy that loves this sport. We can’t thank him enough and Curtis and Gene that is with his business team. That ultimately, like Bubba touched on in his interview, that really believed in us.”

Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan must have been happy at Kansas

To be perfectly honest, it was a fantastic day in the office for Denny Hamlin and 23XI Racing. The #11 Joe Gibbs Racing driver finished in 2nd place but was not too disappointed about this fact.

This was because Bubba Wallace snatched his second career win in the Cup Series at the Kansas Speedway.

The best part is that no one can dispute this as there were no extenuating circumstances in the race. To be precise, when he took his maiden Cup win at the Talladega Superspeedway, the race was interrupted by rain. In the end, the race was called off and Wallace was declared the winner because he was leading when the heavens opened.
