Hendrick Motorsports suffered a massive blow with news confirming Chase Elliott to be out of action for several weeks. This comes after Elliott fractured his left leg on Friday while snowboarding in Colorado. While many have criticized the 27-year-old for engaging in such activities, his fellow racers haven’t shied away from coming out in his support. Most notably, Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, and recently, Kevin Harvick were at the heart of it.

Competing in NASCAR is a tiresome job. Also, it is necessary for the racers to blow off steam at regular intervals. Recently, some of the top drivers had something interesting to say in this regard.

Recently, veteran driver Kevin Harvick too came out to support the Hendrick Motorsports driver. While speaking to Fox Sports, he said, “I am in the category with Chase. I like to live my life, I like to Ski, I like to go do things. I have had just as bad an injury walking around in my kitchen, falling over my cat, playing with my kids, or whatever it is, stuff’s going to happen.

“There’s way too much time spent at the race track to not be able to live the rest of your life. To have to live in a bubble is impossible. You gotta do the things that you like to do.”

Denny Hamlin retweeted Harvick’s interview, adding, “I’d venture to say many people work on their physical health because it benefits their mental health. Let people do what they need to do to stay mentally healthy. As anyone who is in this industry knows, it’s a grind.”
