Wrecks don’t seem to leave Kyle Larson at the moment. After surviving a scary incident at Talladega Superspeedway, the #5 driver was once again on the receiving end of an unforeseen crash. On lap 80 at Dover, Ross Chastain spun Brennan Poole who was entering Turn 1.

This saw the #15 shoot up the track and fall in front of Larson’s car, ending the race for Poole. While it was unfortunate, severe criticism came running Chastain’s way. It is not the first time that he has been involved in such an event. And by the looks of it, it certainly doesn’t seem the last time.

Nevertheless, the Trackhouse Racing driver apologized after the race but the damage was already done. While Larson remains unhappy about the incident, one of his recent social media posts has certainly grabbed a lot of attention. In a recent post by Arrow McLaren, the 30-year-old is seen at the team’s race shop in Indianapolis.

While he was there to witness the seat fit, popular NASCAR journalist Bob Pockrass saw something unusual. He spotted a watermelon in the background of the video, referring to Larson’s troubles with Chastain. As this finding was made available online, it created a lot of fuss.

It is no secret how fans love such content, especially in a competitive sport like NASCAR. While the chances of watermelon being present there then were slim, the timing couldn’t have been better.

Naturally, the fans went wild with their creative thinking. Some of them couldn’t help but funnily think this was Chastain’s way of apologizing to Larson.

“Apology gift from Ross?”

“Ross has been known to ship a watermelon of forgiveness to his enemies.”

“Maybe it was a peace offering from Ross.”

“You think that was an apology melon from Ross?”

While that was one way of seeing it, many predicted what Larson’s next course of action would be.
