Going into the Coke Zero Sugar 400, Chase Elliott faces a mammoth challenge in order to make it to the playoffs. With 17 drivers strongly competing for the single spot left for the final 16, Rick Hendrick’s driver is going to find it easy to win. While it is a massive test for the Hendrick Motorsports team, the test is truly on. Amid this tricky situation, NASCAR fans couldn’t help but compare Elliott to Donald Trump.

It was just three years ago that Trump visited the Daytona International Speedway and gave the starting command. While it is unlikely that he will be present on the same track this weekend, his recent act has certainly caught the fans’ attention.

What happened with Chase Elliott in the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season has been unfortunate. Missing out on six races due to a snowboarding injury and a race suspension cost him dearly in the playoff battle. Having said that, Rick Hendrick’s driver has failed to register a victory in the races in which he has participated so far. In fact, he hasn’t looked as confident as he usually does.

Now, he faces an uphill task along with 16 other drivers to fight for the single remaining spot in the playoffs. While Elliott’s run hasn’t been poor, it hasn’t been enough to help him qualify for the final 16 solely on points. A win at Daytona is imperative for any of the 17 drivers yet to make it to the playoffs.

While the situation would be intense in the Cup Series on Saturday, Donald Trump’s recent social media post has stunned plenty. The 45th President of the United States posted a mug shot of him after his Georgia arrest in relation to his alleged role in the poll racketeering case.

Amazingly, the post was Trump’s first tweet on Twitter after his account suspension in 2021. While it got viral in no time, his mug shot got more attention. Making good use of the image, Couch Racer Shop posted an interesting question engaging multiple fans. Using Trump’s mug shot, the question read, “Which driver looks like this on Saturday after not making it into the NASCAR playoff?”

Naturally, it was a tempting one for social media users and unsurprisingly, it brought some mind-blowing answers.

What was shocking though, is how the majority of fans went with Elliott as their answer. In fact, the fashion in which they did was quite astonishing.

Chase Elliott has no choice but to make it big in the final race of the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series regular season. While his loyal fanbase is vouching for an emphatic victory at Daytona, Couch Race Shop’s engaging social media post saw fans predicting the opposite for Elliott.

While the majority of the fans predicted Elliott would end up looking like Donald Trump did in his mug shot recently, some of them had some additional content to offer in this regard with their comment on Twitter.

“Elliott, after crashing on final lap while leading.”

“Chase. I’m saying Bubba grabs the win.”
