Let’s say we see this come to fruition, it will not be the first time that Hamilton would be behind the wheel of a Cup Series car. Several years ago, Hamilton had participated in a car swap with Tony Stewart at Watkins Glen International.
Moreover, Hamilton recently told NBC Sports, “I did a car swap with Tony Stewart years ago, which was fun. I’d love to try it at some stage. It’s not a dream for me to go race another series, but I am an admirer. I’m a fan of racing and other sports. So I would like to try it.”
Later on, even former NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr admired Hamilton’s interest to attempt racing in NASCAR. On Twitter, the Hall of Famer stated, “Nice!!“

NASCAR fans bash Hamilton after the F1 driver declared his interest in NASCAR
However, after hearing Hamilton’s interest in the sport of NASCAR, several within the NASCAR community took shots aimed at the Mercedes driver. Fans stated how he would “cry” if anyone hit him on the racetrack and that he would not be able to survive in the environment there.
One fan stated, “I like Hamilton but he would be crying the first time someone rubbed against him.“
Soon enough, a Hamilton hater said, “Bro would get cooked. If Montoya is struggling in NASCAR Lewis Carmilton definitely isn’t having a great time.“
