Justin Marks and Trackhouse Racing’s venture with Project 91 enabled Formula 1 world Champion, Kimi Raikkonen to race in NASCAR. Although his brilliant first-time run has stopped by a wreck, it got everyone’s attention. To a point where IndyCar driver Marcus Ericsson wants to race in the Cup Series too.

But Formula One world champion, Jenson Button, became an obstacle in his path.

The 106th winner of the Indianapolis 500 tweeted directly to Trackhouse Racing, asking them to get in touch with him. Of course, he also tagged Project 91, and obviously declared his interest in racing in the NASCAR Cup Series in the #91.

But Button Tweeted back to the Swedish driver, asking him to battle him for the seat. The battle will not be a showdown between the driver, with the fastest driver getting the seat. Even though we really wish it was.

The ultimate fight between the two drivers will happen over a game of Rock, Paper, and Scissors. On the bright side, Ericsson agreed to it.

Well, that rules out any possibility of a race between the two. But at least the fans are pretty excited about the two entering the Cup!
