Justin Marks and Trackhouse Racing’s venture with Project 91 enabled Formula 1 world Champion, Kimi Raikkonen to race in NASCAR. Although his brilliant first-time run has stopped by a wreck, it got everyone’s attention. To a point where IndyCar driver Marcus Ericsson wants to race in the Cup Series too.
But Formula One world champion, Jenson Button, became an obstacle in his path.

The 106th winner of the Indianapolis 500 tweeted directly to Trackhouse Racing, asking them to get in touch with him. Of course, he also tagged Project 91, and obviously declared his interest in racing in the NASCAR Cup Series in the #91.
Hey @TeamTrackhouse @THProject91 just drop me a DM and we can take it from there 😉 #NASCAR @NASCARonNBC https://t.co/QJUNh0r46x

But Button Tweeted back to the Swedish driver, asking him to battle him for the seat. The battle will not be a showdown between the driver, with the fastest driver getting the seat. Even though we really wish it was.
The ultimate fight between the two drivers will happen over a game of Rock, Paper, and Scissors. On the bright side, Ericsson agreed to it.
Deal 🤝

Well, that rules out any possibility of a race between the two. But at least the fans are pretty excited about the two entering the Cup!
But what do the fans feel about the World Champion and Indianapolis 500 champion wanting to take part in the NASCAR Cup Series?
NASCAR Fans React To Jenson Button And Marcus Ericsson Wanting To Race In The NASCAR Cup Series
Project91 has clearly got the attention of many people, and plenty of drivers are willing to race in the Cup Series. Fortunately, two of the most popular drivers showed interest in racing.
One of them is of course Marcus Ericsson, and the other is the 2009 Formula One World Champion, Jenson Button.
After Kimi’s race, fans can’t get enough of the two drivers and wanted to see them race in stock cars.
I vote for this. @JensonButton first though #somerset
