There has always been a comparison between NASCAR and F1 in terms of which one is better. Some say that NASCAR is more entertaining. Others believe that there’s nothing better than F1. As much as sportsmen try to avoid igniting a comparison between the two sports, they eventually end up giving fans a reason for comparison. This time it is Max Verstappen who ignited the flame of comparison.

A striking comparison was seen to be made by fans over Max Verstappen’s dominance in F1. Winning 6 races so far in 2023 is surely a great accomplishment for Max Verstappen. But for F1 fans, watching the same sportsman win, again and again, may have made it hard to find the same level of excitement in the sport. This gave NASCAR fans an opportunity to brag about their sports, which they didn’t miss.

Let’s go into details and see what this complicit between NASCAR & F1 fans is all about.

How Max Verstappen’s Consistent Winnings Ended Up As A Topic Of Comparison Between NASCAR And F1

2023 has been a great start for NASCAR as well as F1. So far, 17 NASCAR Cup Series have taken place. F1, on the other hand, has organized 8 races in 8 different countries. Out of these, Max Verstappen has won 6. The same thing has happened in NASCAR but with a little twist. If we look at a common winner of the NASCAR Cup Series, it’s, of course, Kyle Busch and William Byron, with 3 Wins each. But this is where things get interesting. Both of these drivers have won three out of the 17 races, which is clearly not as dominant as Max, who has won 75% of the races that have taken place.

Moreover, the F1 reigning world champion has won four races in a row: Miami, Monaco, Spain, and Canada. For the Red Bull star, it’s a huge achievement. But for the F1 fans, watching Max win again and again probably takes out the fun from the sports.

Not just F1, but NASCAR fans noted this and came forward to talk highly about their sport. And well, we all know what happens when two different sports fans come together – CLASH! Let’s see how the two fanbases reacted.

Fans Speak Out as Red Bull Ace Ignites Another Hot F1 vs NASCAR Debate

Many F1 fans are clearly bored watching Max Verstappen win championships consistently. For them, the suspense and unpredictability of the sports are fading. But just like there are fans who want to see a ‘new winner’ in every race, there are fans who are more interested in watching their favorite racer win. Max Verstappen’s fans believe the same.

But when F1 shared a post highlighting Max’s win at Canada, a NASCAR fan came forward to ask, “I don’t watch F1 but don’t y’all get tired of the same driver winning every single week? NASCAR has only had the same winner back to back this season once.

To this, one fan replied like a true Max Verstappen faithful, “No purely because it’s my favorite driver that’s winning now..

Highlighting a similar change in sports preference, a NASCAR fan said, “That’s why I started watching Nascar. I come from a French family who values F1 a lot. They got me into it in 1991. I lasted a little more than 10 years as a really big fan. Then I watched only a few races for a few years and then switched to Nascar and never looked back.”

Comparing what’s happening in F1 right now, Max Verstappen’s extensive domination, a NASCAR fan, shared a similar incident that happened in NASCAR a while ago. Here’s what he said “Closest thing to what we had recently to that level in NASCAR was Larson in 2021 tbh. Thankfully the new car has created parity and 2022 was a great season. Though I do wish there were less Buschwhacking in the Xfinity & Trucks because that’s the only major issue I have tbh.”
