Earlier, Richard Childress Racing driver Austin Dillon announced some big news. As it turned out, the #3 driver will be launching a new NASCAR themed reality TV show. This show will be christened, ‘Life In The Fast Lane’ and will begin airing on June 23rd on the USA Network. However, not many fans were truly receptive of the upcoming series and believed that it would flop.

Nobody asked for this 😂

There have been a few NASCAR-themed shows in the past, but none have really resonated with the fans. When Formula One: Drive to Survive and MotoGP Unlimited hit the screens, they became immensely popular. Unfortunately, NASCAR does not have any documentary-style series on any streaming service. Instead, it has been content with churning out more reality TV-style shows.
No thanks

Unfortunately, it appears that not many are too fond of the reality TV shows. Instead, they have been craving for documentary style show, similar to Drive to Survive, Unlimited, or even the All or Nothing Series. Sadly, the fans have to make do with shows like The Crew, and this new series, ‘Life in the Fast Lane’.
Will NASCAR ever get a proper documentary series?
If we’re being honest, it is only a matter of time before NASCAR also gets its own docu-series. The closest it has ever gotten to one, is the Race: Bubba Wallace series. However, that is a little more niche, since it only focuses on Bubba Wallace. F1 and MotoGP have really picked up the ball here, as they have identified ways to make their sports more popular.
You should concentrate on driving lord you need it instead of doing @nascar version of HouseWives

The big question is, will NASCAR follow in their footsteps? Or will the sporting entity just be content with churning out reality TV shows? This is something that the fans obviously do not like, but will NASCAR even listen to them? Nothing against Austin Dillon, as he make have plenty of fun shooting this little show of his.
#FormulaOne gets Drive to Survive.#NASCAR fans are stuck with this. https://t.co/DfFIj8eTBd

All that remains is for people to wait until June 23rd to see how the series is, and then judge it. For all we know, it could be a really good series and may offer a sneak peek into Dillon’s personal life.
