Amid Recent NASCAR Move, an Act of Kindness Has F1 Fans Reminiscing About Iconic Kimi Raikkonen Moments: “The Dog Will Have the Drink”

The 2007 Formula One world champion Kimi Raikkonen retired from the sport at the end of the 2021 season. He was one of the most popular drivers on the grid and has a massive fan following throughout the globe. Although he did not enjoy interacting with the media a lot, fans will always remember him for his legendary quips and jokes apart from his driving.

Recently, we saw a very different side of ‘The ‘Iceman’. While he was enjoying some quality time with his daughter, eating some ice cream, he saw a dog locked in a car. So to help the dog, he took the time to empty his ice cream cone, fill it with water and give it to the poor dog trapped in the heat.

This gesture melted everyone’s heart. His fans took to social media to share their reactions to the kind gesture shown by the former Ferrari driver.

As reported by Focus.news, during the 2009 Malaysian Grand Prix, the track was hit by heavy rain, which meant that the GP had to be stopped. Subsequently, the then Ferrari driver came out of his car and race suit and headed to the hospitality area.

There, he enjoyed a lovely ice cream break while waiting for the race to resume. However, the race never resumed and half points were awarded. And as we know Raikkonen, he wouldn’t have been too disappointed about that.

It is certainly a side to the Finnish driver that we had not seen previously. The incident melted everyone’s hearts and shed some light on the lesser-known aspect of the world champion’s personality.
