Lewis Hamilton is 37 years old and has been racing in Formula 1 since 2007. His latest contract with the Mercedes AMG F1 team expires at the end of the 2023 season. There have been no reports from either party about a contract extension and their desire to continue beyond the next season. So the future of the 7-time world champion is still unclear to his fans.

But since Hamilton has made no statements about retiring after 2023, it would be interesting to see if he drives for another racing series. And now, Trackhouse Racing’s co-owner Justin Marks reveals that he would love to have the Mercedes driver in NASCAR.
NASCAR team owner picks Lewis Hamilton as his ideal choice
While doing a Q/A session with the fans on social media, Marks was asked what other drivers would he like to join NASCAR. He did give some interesting and popular names that he wants to join the series.
He said, “I’d love to have Valentino Rossi or Lewis Hamilton or Daniel Ricciardo.”
When asked who his dream target is, he had one word, “Hamilton.”

In 2016, the Mercedes driver genuinely showed an interest in the series. He had mentioned that he had enjoyed one of the races very much and was intrigued by all the strategic angles in the sport.

The British driver mentioned that one day he would really like to try driving in NASCAR. He also revealed that he would also want to compete in a competitive NASCAR race in the future.
“The race was 267 laps – really long – but I thoroughly enjoyed it, trying to understand the strategy and the differences between the cars. It was neat. It made me want to drive one – I really fancy a race in a NASCAR one day. I’m not sure I’d do an oval, but possibly a street circuit or road course,” said Lewis.
