BRICS is the acronym for an association of five major emerging national economies: Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
If the proposal is greeted positively by the other countries, this can led to India hosting it’s first major footballing tournament, and could do wonders in terms of development of the sport in the cricket dominant nation.

It could also lead to the star studded Brazilian team to play in India, which includes players like Neymar, Oscar, David Luiz, Thiago Silva, and many more.

Brazil is ranked the highest at 7th in the FIFA rankings, Russia follows with 28, South Africa is ranked 70 and China is at 77.

India is currently ranked the lowest among all the five countries with a world rank at 156.

Even though the proposal is at a nascent stage, it is enough to excite the football fans around the country, who can see one of the brightest stars on the planet in their own country.
