Japanese tennis star Naomi Osaka has become bored due to the coronavirus pandemic. She has done many things to combat her boredom and the latest thing she has done is – troll herself. Check out what she said about herself on Twitter.

Naomi Osaka put up a photo of her in a poster. We don’t know where she took the photo but the caption is what interests us. She made fun of herself by saying, ‘This kid won a grand slam’ which caused people to write many comments.

While the caption was certainly funny, it is not very accurate as Naomi Osaka did not win just one slam, she won 2 Grand Slams and she won those Slams back-to-back. You would expect people to be very accurate about their own achievements but everyone makes mistakes sometimes.

Speaking of Naomi Osaka’s achievements, I am sure she will always remember 2018-19. That was the golden period for her where she won 2 grand slams back-to-back and became the first Asian World No.1. It was looking like she would be the player dominating the WTA tour.

Sadly, that did not happen because of Naomi’s split with coach Sascha Bajin. This started an extremely poor run of form and continued when Osaka started working with coach Jermaine Jenkins. Poor results caused her to split with Jermaine Jenkins towards the latter end of 2019.

She then hired coach Wim Fissette to help her regain her form as he managed to help many other players do the same. But sadly, she has not been able to play any tennis as the coronavirus pandemic has suspended the WTA Tour.

The Tour is scheduled to return in July assuming the virus is contained by then. Hopefully, the virus is contained and we can see Naomi Osaka regain her form and win some major titles when The Tour returns.
