‘Play Academy with Naomi Osaka’ will inspire girls to stay in the sport
Naomi Osaka confessed that a statistical report determining girls quit sport more often than boys inspired her new project. She said that it had resonated with her.
Having been an athlete for most of her life, tennis is everything for the Japanese ace. Thus, she made up her mind to set up a branch that assists young girls in sport.
“I can’t imagine what my life would be like without tennis, so I decided to start a project called Play Academy with Naomi Osaka,” the Japanese said.
Furthermore, she disclosed that the project would focus on encouraging girls to stay in the sport. She will begin the project in her home country, Japan, but aims to go global following that.
“Our goal is to inspire girls to stay in sport by giving them the tools, resources, and inspiration needed to stay motivated. We are currently focused on activating in Japan, but I have ambitious goals for the project!”
Coincidentally, her grandfather recently revealed that the Japanese ace had predicted her Australian Open triumph. Moreover, he expressed his desire for Naomi to build a tennis school in Japan.
Indeed, in terms of fulfilling dreams, she is on a roll.

Which tournament will Osaka play next?
To recover from her Melbourne Park exploits, Naomi decided to withdraw from Qatar Open. However, it is unlikely she will miss the upcoming Miami Open 2021.

Additionally, regaining the top rank in WTA will be a top-most priority for the Japanese ace. Therefore, she will be ready for the showdown in Miami.
