Pavel Florin has become an internet sensation due to his unique bowling technique yesterday in the European Cricket League for Cluj Cricket Club. A video of his bowling went viral on social media and he stands by his unorthodox bowling style.
“Maybe someone says my bowling is not beautiful or not effective but I don’t care, because I love cricket,” he said after seeing his viral video. However, Pavel Florin works as a bodyguard.

On the other hand, former Australia batsman Mark Waugh said, “I reckon that would be very hard to hit.”
The 40-year-old, who started playing cricket at the age of 32, has been playing in the first edition of the European tournament, including the teams from the Netherlands, Spain and Italy. In an interview in May, the player said his role model was former South Africa player AB de Villiers and said that his top score was 36 for Cluj in a league match.

“I drove 500 km during night time for nine straight hours just to reach the match in the morning. I stayed 14 overs on the ground and scored 34 runs not out. I would not call it a hero act, but it is the match that gave me confidence that I can be a good cricket player,” he added.
Although they lost their third and final game of the pool stage to Dreux by 95 runs. They will play in the second-tier ‘minor’ semi-finals held on Friday. Two ‘major’ semi-finals will also be played at the end of the week, alongside the final, in the Spanish town of La Manga.
