MS Dhoni has been out from cricket for quite a while now. A period where fans and pundits alike, were obsessed with the reason for such a long break. And a period which made any speculations of his return sound cliched.
On Friday, when a video of Dhoni batting in the nets in Ranchi came out, fans on the internet once again went crazy expecting their hero to return to cricket soon.

Dhoni was brought into reference multiple times, even without his involvement. Such has been the eagerness from fans. Chants of Dhoni were around the ground when Rishabh Pant missed a stumping. Lauds on Dhoni took over the internet when Deepak Chahar took a hat trick. Not even a smallest of opportunity was missed to make sure the cries to bring back Dhoni were heard. And when a video Dhoni in a practice session comes out after such a long time, what is stopping the talks of his return to come out.
Here is what people on Twitter had to say:
Done Thala very soon in the squad for India national team

Dhoni’s situation has indeed been a confusing one so far. It was expected that his retirement was imminent after the World Cup earlier this year, but he took a break instead, a break which extended beyond its initial purpose of training with his army contingent.
The latest video now made everyone think that he might return for the West Indies tour of India, which will see the teams play three T20Is and three ODIs starting from December 6.
