Former India captain MS Dhoni recently experienced a bizarre incident after landing in Kolkata on Monday (December 9). According to the report published in Times Now, his luggage was reportedly swapped with another passenger at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata.
MS Dhoni was reportedly carrying someone else’s luggage after arriving in Kolkata from an established airline. He has also complained about that incident at the airport. The report also suggests that the authorities have done their best to rectify the weird mishap.
Apparently, the airport authorities have contacted the passenger who took Dhoni’s luggage by mistake and informed the entire matter. However, the authorities will collect the misplaced baggage from the passenger and the former India captain is expected to receive his luggage on Tuesday (December 10). However, the airline has also denied that there was any mistake from their side.

On the other hand, MS Dhoni is currently out of competitive cricket. He has last played for India in the semi-final against New Zealand in the ICC World Cup 2019. Since then, he didn’t feature in any of the matches. He missed the limited-overs series against West Indies, South Africa and Bangladesh.
Moreover, he has not been named in the ongoing limited-overs series against West Indies at home as well. Along with this, the retirement speculation of MS Dhoni has been in the news since long. After keeping a tight lip since long, MS Dhoni recently broke his silence over his retirement speculation. “January tak mat poocho (don’t ask me till January),” said Dhoni at an event.

Amid all these, newly appointed BCCI president Sourav Ganguly said on Friday (November 29) that there is a lot of time to decide on MS Dhoni’s future. “We will see what happens, there’s enough time. Of course it will get clear (within three months),” Ganguly quoted as saying by PTI.
“No no, there is clarity, but certain things cannot be said on public platform. There is absolute clarity on MS Dhoni and you’ll find out in time. There’s transparency between the Board, MS and the selectors. When you deal with such champions — MS Dhoni is an unbelievable athlete for India — certain things have to be kept within the closed doors. It’s very transparent and everybody knows where they stand,” Ganguly further added.
