MrBeast’s manager reveals Jimmy’s secret strategy to dominate YouTube

Jimmy has officially become the second individual creator to cross the 100 million subscribers milestone after PewDiePie. However, the YouTube Star dreamt of everything in his room and joined the platform back in February 2012. Jimmy struggled a lot at the start of his YouTube career and used to make videos in his room.

However, everything changed when Jimmy met Reed back in January 2018. In a recent Colin and Samir podcast, Reed talked about his first encounter and expressions of MrBeast. According to Reed, he met Jimmy on Twitter and he got impressed by MrBeast’s addiction and love for the platform.

He was amazed to notice Jimmy’s vast vision and how he dreams to become one of the biggest creators on YouTube. In his own words, “He basically sent me a Twitter message and for the next month, we just spoke every few days. I thought he was just the most fascinating person because I would just listen to him talk about YouTube.”

During the podcast, Reed reveals how much dedicated Jimmy was to YouTube. He also revealed that, back in 2018, Jimmy showed him a graph in which he compared his videos on the basis of CTR (Click Through Rate) and AVD (Average View Duration). After crossing 1 million subscribers, MrBeast started figuring out more about his viewer’s liking to implement that on his videos.

Unlike some creators, he didn’t start making similar content to gain more views with no vision. He was able to figure out the best strategy to attract viewers’ attention and keep them entertained throughout the video. With the help of the aforementioned graph, Jimmy was able to get to the bottom of the concept of thumbnails.

To this day, Jimmy believes that thumbnails play an important part in gaining viewers’ attention. Then later, he was able to figure out the type of content his audience wants and was able to cross 10 million subscribers in just a year, thanks to this strategy.
