Life has certainly changed for Tony Stewart and Leah Pruett after the arrival of their first son last month, Dominic James Stewart. When he got to know his wife was going into labor, he rushed to Phoenix to be with her and made it just in time for the delivery. “Meet our new teammate, Dominic Hames Stewart,” a post on the TSR Nitro X account said. “Momma @LeahPruett_TF and baby are doing great. Congratulations LP and @TonyStewart on becoming new parents! Only Tony could pull off qualifying, rushing to Phoenix to make it in time for the delivery, then back to @PomonaDragstrip for race day. Let’s go win Dominic a trophy.”
Alas, Stewart got eliminated in the semifinals by Doug Kalitta at the Pomona Dragstrip. This resulted in him finishing 10th in the final NHRA TopFuel championship standings. Obviously, Stewart Jr. is too young to understand the world of racing, but his parents are making sure to include him.
Dodge has been associated with Tony Stewart Racing as its OEM partner in NHRA drag racing. The two forged a partnership back in 2022, and since then, Matt Hagan, the driver for the Direct Connection Dodge/SRT Hellcat, has won 15 NHRA national events. Hagan also won the 2023 World Funny Car Championship.

Now it is indeed hard to guess whether or not Dodge shipped off one of its brand-new machines to ‘Smoke’ as a gift, but he seemed to enjoy his ride. Leah Pruett made sure that the fans were always kept in the loop about their daily happenings via social media. And she sprung back into action by sharing a glimpse of Stewart leaving home in his sweet ride.
‘Smoke’ rolled up in the classic red Dodge Charger, which is estimated to be valued between $45,000 and $52,000. And before leaving, Stewart stopped by to have a moment with his son Dominic. Pruett also tagged TSRSmoke and Dodge Motorsports in the Instagram story.
This could be a promotional social media post, but it certainly had a wholesome family vibe to it.
Well, this wasn’t the only instance where Dominic was featured in the social media post shared by Leah Pruett. In another social media post, Tony Stewart was seen singing a lullaby in his unique style—one that had never been seen before.
Tony Stewart is making the most of his time as a dad!
It might be difficult for Dominic to choose a different path other than racing, given both Stewart and Pruett are total greaseheads. Their passion for racing isn’t just restricted to the racing venues, and that was visible in how ‘Smoke’ was trying to put Dominic to sleep.
Lullabies certainly work like a charm on the babies, but Tony Stewart had his unique take on the lullaby. The 53-year-old was seen making sounds of the race engines and throttle; this was his tune while trying to put his son to sleep. Like always, Pruett was in the right place at the right time, capturing the whole thing on video and then sharing it on social media.

Well, the ingenious lullaby trick did seem to work well on Dominic, and why wouldn’t it? After all, he hails from a racing family. However, did you know that it was Tony Stewart’s responsibility to come up with his boy’s name?
“I was tasked with the job of creating names I liked and handed it over to her,” Stewart said last month. “Then she whittled it down to what she liked out of what I liked.”

However, as per him, his responsibilities were nowhere close to that of his wife. “She has literally, the whole season, moved us into a new house, a second trip got the baby room done. Got travel stuff ready to go for when we’re traveling to the races on the weekends. She has worked her a– off for this child and for us as a family. She’s done that and done all the hard work. In the meantime, I’ve been out racing and having fun doing what I do,” said the proud husband.
All Tony Stewart had to do was stay out of her way and let her do her job. Well, it will be interesting to see if the parents make some more appearances with their son, Dominic. What do you think?
