Max Verstappen had a fabulous season so far and it seems as though the record on track has been a testimony of how his life will be in the upcoming year. Verstappen, the four-time world champion has been on a rollercoaster ride and he is right now on the way to achieving his biggest blessing – a little member. Just when everyone thought that Verstappen and his girlfriend Kelly Piquet had been subjected to another round of rumors, things took a complete turn. 

Piquet and Verstappen have been dating together since 2020 and the two seem to be the ideal match for many. Often, Kelly is seen cheering for Verstappen by the tracks. However, just like any other season, Kelly was seen at the Qatar Grand Prix, only with a small addition – a supposed baby bump. 

Little Penelope to welcome sibling in 2025

Kelly Piquet has been by Max Verstappen’s side through all his four championship titles. While Verstappen and Piquet have been subjected to pregnancy rumors quite a few times in the past, this time the announcement has come from the couple itself. The moment was indeed joyous for the couple as they embraced both parenthood and his fourth title at almost the same time. While Kelly is already mother to Penelope, this will be the first time for Verstappen. Penelope is Kelly’s daughter from her previous relationship with Daniil Kvyat, who once drove for Red Bull. 

Currently, Penelope stays with Kelly and the two are often seen going for outings. The announcement from Kelly Piquet came as a shocker for many as fans had just gotten accustomed to how common the rumors of her pregnancy were. The to-be parents shared a black-and-white photograph of Kelly’s baby bump with Verstappen’s hands on the bump.

However, it seemed as though this post was just not another celebrity pregnancy announcement. Keeping in mind how there are tons of people who keep struggling to embrace parenthood, this post was like sunshine. Kelly addressed all those for whom this post could take a personal toll keeping in mind how women often have complexities related to their pregnancy. 

The post further read, “I understand how these announcements can be challenging for those who are longing for a child. While such news is often a joyous occasion, it can also evoke feelings of sadness, frustration, or longing in those who are struggling with this. If that’s you, I’m sending all my love, my deepest hugs, and magic your way.” Her heartfelt message served as a reminder of the compassion and sensitivity needed when sharing personal milestones.

With the 2024 Qatar Grand Prix marking Max Verstappen’s 63rd career win, alongside 40 pole positions and 33 fastest laps in Formula One to date, the season has been a testament to his dominance on the track.

Max Verstappen shares a great bond with Kelly’s first daughter Penelope

While Max Verstappen might be becoming a father for the very first time, this will be the second time for Brazillian model Kelly Piquet. She has been a wonderful mother to Penelope and the two have often been seen taking some time off from the frenzy and spending some cute mother-daughter moments. However, with Max Verstappen in the picture, things have always been quite smooth between the three. Verstappen is known to share quite a good relationship with Penelope as he is not trying to become her “father”. Penelope has been seen with her mother Kelly quite a few times at the tracks cheering for Verstappen. She was his lucky charm during the Japanese Grand Prix.

Kelly often adorably refers to Penelope as “Baby P“, a name often used by Verstappen as well. While Verstappen is not the biological father of Penelope, he loves to address himself as her “bonus dad”. The three live together in Monaco and are often seen embarking on outings together. Given that Verstappen already takes on his duties with such grace, Kelly can be rest assured that he is going to be an amazing father. The Flying Dutchman and Penelope have had several father-daughter moments on Verstappen’s Twitch streams.

As of now, not much is known about when the couple is due and the gender reveal has not happened yet as well. While Verstappen is all set to embrace full-time baby duties in 2025, he will have a tough campaign facing Ferrari and McLaren.
