Charles Leclerc is taking some well-earned rest. After a demanding Formula 1 season, the Scuderia Ferrari driver is making use of the off-season by spending some quality time with his brothers. Despite Christmas being on the horizon, the 27-year-old is enjoying life outdoors in sunny Mexico and refining his golf skills along with Arthur and Lorenzo Leclerc, who have been sharing some behind-the-scenes photos of the trio on social media.

While the Leclerc brothers play for fun and pride, it doesn’t stop them from being cheeky. Arthur Leclerc even uploaded a post on Instagram, sending a warning to none other than Tiger Woods, suggesting that he give the 82-time PGA Tour winner a run for his money.

It’s not the first time Leclerc has been photographed playing golf. The Monegasque driver was seen at St Andrews in Scotland earlier this year, using the short break before the US Grand Prix to enjoy a round on the Old Course. For somebody who is accustomed to living life in the fast lane, playing golf will be an uncharacteristic change of pace, one that the racer seems to enjoy considering how often he engages in the sport.

This time around, Charles Leclerc was seen enjoying his vacation with his two brothers. In an Instagram post uploaded by Arthur Leclerc, the 2024 European Le Mans Series participant wrote, “Tiger Woods better be ready.” It seems like the 24-year-old is quite confident in his golf skills, even though the caption is meant as a tongue-in-cheek comment. The trio are seen riding in golf carts and enjoying some downtime by competing against each other outside the racetrack.

Charles Leclerc doesn’t just play golf with his family but with fellow Formula 1 drivers as well. The racer regularly competes with Alex Albon and Lando Norris, with their competitive spirit prevailing more often than not away from the track as well. When asked about golf’s appeal, the Scuderia Ferrari driver candidly said, “In golf, if you don’t exactly have the right mindset to hit the ball, then you already know that the ball is going to go everywhere, but not where you want it to go. So I think, mentally, it’s a very good exercise and that’s why we love it so much as drivers.”

The 27-year-old has had quite a Formula 1 season in 2024. He secured three victories, including his home race at the Monaco Grand Prix, and finished third in the driver standings, behind Max Verstappen and Lando Norris. The Monégasque racing driver will be partnering with seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton at Scuderia Ferrari next year. “With Lewis it’s going to be crazy because he is such a talented driver,” Leclerc told AFP at the Yas Marina circuit. “He’s the most successful driver in Formula One and so it’s going to be a great challenge to measure myself against him in the same car.”

With two powerhouses of modern-day racing, the team will look to secure silverware in 2025 after narrowly missing out on the Constructor’s Championship to McLaren Racing this time around.
