California is once again under the terror of devastating wildfires, which have been leaving a trail of destruction and displacement across the region of southern California. The wildfire has affected everyone in the same way, with some really high-profile names in Hollywood Hills also seeing major losses.

Among those affected is NBC commentator Townsend Bell, who shared his heartbreaking experience on social media after his tragic loss.

The wildfire has gotten many to react. On X, Bell posted photos of the burnt houses along with an emotional series of events in the past 48 hours. The post captured the chaos, loss, and resilience of facing a natural disaster. He wrote: “Quick thoughts. Last 48 hours have been surreal. Fire, smoke, joy, tears, adventure, coughing, depression, little sleep, wildest motocross ride of my life. We lost 2 houses. We tried everything to save them. Everyone is safe…. Lot of work in front of us. This is not the makeover photo I wanted to share…time to grind.”

Bell’s emotional post resonated deeply within the racing community, sparking an overwhelming outpouring of support from fellow drivers and broadcasters. NBC broadcaster Kevin Lee expressed his condolences, commenting: “Oh, no. So very sorry for you and everyone else who have had their lives turned upside down. Glad you guys are safe.”

Being an IndyCar commentator, he was shown great love from colleague and IndyCar driver Matt Archuleta, who shared his sympathy, saying: “Damn, so sorry to hear.” F1 fame Romain Grosjean replied: “Oh man, so sorry. Glad to know family is safe.” NASCAR/IndyCar driver Conor Daly also extended his support, tweeting: “Very sorry to see this T Bell ❤️ glad the family is safe.”
