In what couldn’t have been a better news for tifosi and any F1 fan in general, at the media even organised to commemorate Ferrari’s 90 year legacy of racing, it was announced that Autodromo Nazionale Monza, the home to the famous Italian Grand Prix will be renewed till 2024. Its future has been at risk over the past few months, especially ever since Liberty took over.
Liberty Media and its obsession with street circuits have put some of the legendary tracks like Monza at risk. There were talks of Monza being unable to extend its contract due to high demands from Liberty. However, in April, there were reports that the authorities have managed to close in a deal for the time being and are looking for a permanent solution that will seal the deal for 2024 at least. We’re glad to report that all that is now done and dusted.

It is only fitting for Formula One that a circuit like Autodromo Nazionale Monza, the fastest circuit on the calendar, stays and doesn’t have to be worried about its future. It is one of the oldest circuits still being run and has always managed to be Ferrari’s home ground. But Ferrari is yet to win the race after 2010, when Fernando Alonso took the victory and brought joy to the Italians.
