Daniel Cormier and Ariel Helwani are involved in an ongoing war of words with former WWE champion Booker T. Following his recent trilogy fight against Stipe, Cormier has retired from the sport of mixed martial arts. However, he is still looking at options to keep himself busy.
One option Daniel is looking at is WWE. ‘DC’ is admittedly a long-time fan of the pro-wrestling company and is in ongoing talks with the promotion for a role as a commentator. This news did not sit well with former champion Booker T, who has been very vocal about it. Daniel Cormier and Ariel Helwani took the time to respond to the WWE Hall of Famer’s comments on ‘DC & Helwani’.

Ariel Helwani had a strong message for Booker T. He said, “What is Booker T talking about? First of all, he clearly knows that you would whoop his a** like he knows that, right? I feel like he has come to that conclusion. So now he’s coming after me? Now he’s coming after me? What is he talking about, caramel macchiato? Why is he so fixated on Starbucks? Let me tell you once again, Booker. It’s on sight. It’s on sight. Pull up to my coffee shop and it is on sight. You wanna have a chai latte, you wanna have an Americano? You wanna have a flat white, you wanna have a macchiato? I don’t care it’s on sight bubba. You’re irrelevant.”

He added, “Are you kidding me? You talk smack about my friend. I came in there, you got all off-topic and now you’re trying to come after me? I mean, really. What are you 55?…. Booker do you know who you’re talking to son?….. People think I’m playing a character here but I’m not. I’m tired of the disrespect.”
