The UFC will kick off the new year with possibly one of the biggest fight cards of the year. UFC 257 features Conor McGregor as he takes on former rival Dustin Poirier in an epic rematch seven years in the making. ‘The Notorious’ is undoubtedly not only one of the biggest stars in the UFC, but in sports period.
Every time McGregor fights, the eyes of the whole world are on him. People who do not generally follow the sport tune in to watch a McGregor fight. The same applies to celebrities as well. A fight card with Conor on it sees the who’s who of the country in attendance for the events.
Therefore, it is no surprise that for his fight against Poirier there has been a lot of hype building up to the fight three weeks out.

EMINEM jumps aboard the hype train for UFC 257
Rapper Marshall Mathers better known as EMINEM took to Instagram to share a video of the upcoming fight. The caption read, “Survival mode! #Higher #UFC257 @ufc @dustinpoirier @thenotoriousmma”
The video showed an epic promotional video for the upcoming fight with EMINEM’s song ‘Higher’ playing in the background.
The rap star is a fan of the UFC and MMA, and has previously used MMA references in his songs. Most notably when EMINEM rapped about Anderson Silva and his broken leg in his rematch against Chris Weidman.

UFC 257 is just three weeks out
The highly anticipated return of ‘Mystic Mac’ is just three weeks away. The triple-header on Fight Island starts off with Max Holloway taking on Calvin Kattar and culminates with Conor McGregor taking on Dustin Poirier.

A lot has changed since the last time the two men stepped in the octagon. One thing that has remained the same seven years on is that both men are widely regarded as two of the very best fighters, not just in their division, but in the UFC period.
