A middleweight clash between Sean Strickland and Uriah Hall will headline UFC Vegas 33 at the UFC Apex. The card was initially set to feature 15 fights. However, a host of cancelations have meant that the card is now down to 10 fights.
The main card featured a fight between two newbies in Melsik Baghdasaryan who took on Collin Anglin. Anglin made his UFC debut on Dana White’s Contender Series against Muhammadjon Naimov in September 2020. The fight against ‘The Gun’ Baghdasaryan was just his second outing with the UFC. The result, however, did not go his way as Baghdasaryan stopped him in round two of the fight.

Melsik Baghdasaryan makes a statement at UFC Vegas 33
The fight started off well for both men. Given that this was his first fight in the UFC, Baghdasaryan was understandably slow at the start. However, as the fight went on, Baghdasaryan picked up the pace. ‘The Gun’ upped the tempo towards the end of round one and looked comfortable as his shots landed with a pop.

The finishing sequence came in the second round. ‘The Gun’ landed a left high-kick that dropped his opponent to the floor. As soon as Anglin hit the floor, Baghdasaryan pounced on him and landed a barrage of punches. Before he could inflict too much damage, the referee stepped in and called the fight.
