Conor McGregor: Can he get past Dustin Poirier?
Conor McGregor is easily the most dangerous fighter that Poirier could fight. A win here would legitimize either man as a championship contender. While Poirier is the number one contender on the rankings, a win over Conor will only solidify that position. McGregor is McGregor, so he will always be just one high-profile win away from the rankings.
The first minute of the fight will be the key. We saw Conor likes to push the pace from the opening bell onwards, while Dustin is the kind of fighter that needs to get his feet warm in the cage. The longer the fight goes, the better Poirier’s chances are.
