During his reign as the middleweight champion in the UFC, Anderson Silva established himself as a force to be reckoned with. ‘The Spider’ made world-class opponents look like day-one amateurs. His performances inside the octagon inspired many to take up the sport, including the likes of Israel Adesanya, and most recently, his son Kalyl Silva.

The 22-year old plays as a forward for the LA10 in the United Premier Soccer League. Kalyl Silva made his kickboxing debut in the 159-pound weight class against Anthony Reynaga. Much like his father has done multiple times during his career, Kalyl ended the fight with an inch-perfect high kick. The fight was over within 12-seconds as Kalyl landed a left high-kick that immediately knocked his opponent down to the floor. The referee stepped in and called the fight immediately.

He made his boxing debut against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. A fight he won via split decision. Silva put on an excellent display at his boxing debut against an opponent who had way more experience. Silva will now take on a former UFC fighter in Tito Ortiz in his second professional boxing match.
