The former UFC lightweight champion of the world, Khabib Nurmagomedov, channeled his inner Ronaldo Nazario as he scored a goal after rounding off the keeper and tapping the ball into an empty net. It was a trademark R9 goal and the perfect celebration to go alongside it.
Khabib uploaded the video on his Instagram page and tagged Ronaldo Nazario’s official Instagram page and FC Legion 05. FC Legion 05 is the football club that offered him a chance to play football with them. He captioned the post, “Who remembers Ronaldo in 2008? Low scoring but still with gunpowder.”

His message to FC Legion 05 was that he needs motivation, a normal enough way to say no to a football club. More importantly, Khabib looks like he is enjoying his life after retiring from MMA and has found great success in his business ventures. His organization Eagle FC is coming along great, and he is also constructing his own gym. Additionally, he is also shooting a documentary about his life.
Moreover, it’s all coming together for the former champion who gave up his belt and retired in 2020 after beating interim lightweight champion Justin Gaethje.

However, Khabib ignored it all and took Gaethje to work. He started the fight with an incredible pace, and all Gaethje was doing was playing catch-up. There was a chance that Gaethje won the first round, but he looked gassed when he got up for the second.
Khabib took advantage of that and finally finished the fight in the second round. He put Gaethje to sleep via a triangle choke to put all the doubters away for good.
