Light heavyweight legend, Jon Jones, has been enjoying his time away from the sport. ‘Bones’ as he is known for his lanky frame is not lanky anymore. Recent pictures and videos posted by the man himself show that he has packed in a good amount of muscle mass ahead of his heavyweight bow.
The caption also said that Jones is touching 250 pounds, which is a staggering 45-pounds over the last time he stepped on the scale before UFC 247.
During his off time in putting on size and preparing for his heavyweight debut, Jones has been following other pursuits. He recently posted pictures and videos of him training alongside Patrick Payne.

A video posted shows Jon in a helicopter chasing a boar. Once ‘Bones’ had the animal in his crosshairs, he fired a shot and connected clean. As the chopper moved, ‘Bones’ fired a few more shots onto the animal.

There are many interesting matchups that are going to take place in the year 2021. One of the most if not the most anticipated fight of the year will be Jones’ first heavyweight fight.
After almost a decade of terrorizing the light heavyweight division, Jones will look to become a UFC ‘Champ-Champ’.
This will be easier said than done, as the heavyweight division is stacked with incredibly dangerous fighters. It is reported that Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou will fight for the belt in March.

What remains to be seen is if Jones fights for the heavyweight belt directly or if he takes a tune-up fight before that. If he does take a tuneup fight, it will most likely be against the winner of Derrick lewis and Curtis Blaydes.

However, if the former light heavyweight king decides to bide his time, he could fight the heavyweight champion in the latter half of 2021. Both of these fights will be extremely tough and exciting for both the fighter and his legion of fans.
