Vicente Luque has slowly started to establish himself as the dark horse at 170-pounds. ‘The Silent Assassin’, who has been on a tear recently, has secured four wins in his last four outings. To top it off, all four wins have come via stoppage against some of the biggest names at welterweight. Luque is potentially one win away from a title shot and is on the hunt for his next opponent.

In a recent interview with Brett Okamoto of ESPN, Luque shared his thoughts on a potential fight with Nate Diaz.
He said, “Between us, it’s going to be one of the best fights of the year. I think it is going to be an awesome fight. Both of us can take a lot of damage. So it is not a fight that is going to end early. But I am going to look to finish that fight, be it on the stand-up or be it on the ground. That is something really challenging, somebody finish Nate Diaz, so that is what I will be looking forward to do in that fight.”
