Ariel Helwani is one of the most reputed reporters in the world of combat sports. After ending his three-year deal with ESPN, Helwani moved on to being a free agent. The renowned journalist now works on multiple news networks covering the ins and outs of the sport. In his most recent assignment, Helwani was tasked with covering the boxing event between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley.
It is safe to say Helwani was enjoying the experience as he tweeted out, “This is the greatest. So much fun. Hope you are all enjoying!! I feel like I have died and gone to TV heaven.” His comments on the event faced some backlash from two familiar names. Daniel Cormier responded to the tweet saying, “Calm down, it’s alright but it ain’t that cool. I mean c’mon Ariel.”‘ The Gorilla’ Darren Till took it up a notch saying, “Ur a f***ing disgrace to the sport.”
