The main event at UFC Vegas 18 saw Alistair Overeem take on a tough challenge in Alexander Volkov. The heavyweight bout between the two men would have significant implications on the title picture in a buzzing heavyweight division right now. The winner of the fight would have put themselves in a prime position for a title shot.
‘Drago’ came into the fight on the back of an impressive TKO win over Walt Harris; ‘The Demolition Man’ was on a two-fight win streak.
Despite having been a champion in almost every organization he has ever fought in, the UFC belt has always eluded ‘The Reem’. The MMA pioneer has stated that this will be his last run towards a UFC title, as he does not expect himself to fight much longer.
