Conor McGregor on steroids, according to Justin Gaethje
Since his retirement from the MMA, Former Heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier has been active in the UFC as a color commentator. On his YouTube channel, Cormier spoke about Justin Gaethje, accusing Conor McGregor of taking steroids to build up his mass.
The USADA’s testing pool for UFC fighters for 2022 didn’t include Conor McGregor, sparking a series of accusations against him. ‘The Highlight’ piled on the argument and concluded that Conor’s omission from the list was because of him taking steroids.
Cormier stated in his YouTube video, “Justin went so far as to imply that Conor McGregor — or straight up say, honestly — that Conor McGregor’s off doing some steroids.” And claimed it to be a “bold statement” coming from Gaethje.
DC questions Gaethje’s conclusion on the matter, asking, “How does Gaethje know that? Is Gaethje checking the USADA website to know and say this with this much confidence? Or is he basing this on Conor McGregor’s appearance?”
He clarifies, “The reality is this; you don’t know. Because Conor McGregor’s not a tall guy so if he starts to gain weight, he’s gonna look a little bigger, he’s gonna look a little more full, and he looks a little more puffy.”
Cormier clarifies that his weight gain is unrelated to steroids, but a byproduct of his vacation away from the Octagon.
Conor McGregor has been on a vacation, away from the Octagon since his loss to Dustin Poirier during their third bout in July 2021. Since then, McGregor hasn’t announced his return, but is still active and ranked #12 in the lightweight division.

DC speaks of a fight between ‘The Notorious’ and ‘The Highlight’
Meanwhile, ‘The Highlight’ has also stepped away from the UFC scene since his defeat to Brazilian lightweight fighter, Charles Oliveira back in May. Daniel Cormier believes that the timing would be perfect for a McGregor vs Gaethje matchup.

He believes that Gaethje might hold an advantage and take advantage of McGregor’s injured leg, saying, “Justin can throw those kicks from both sides, and he can really beat up that injured leg. So, is this the fight?…The world would love it, but these accusations are very serious. So for Justin Gaethje to say them, there must be some background info into it.”
