It appears as though Tom Breese’s withdrawal from his fight the past weekend against Antonio Arroyo at UFC Vegas 28 might have been his last fight for the promotion. Aaron Bronsteter of TSN recently tweeted, “Tom Breese has been removed from the UFC rankings pool”.

According to Bronsteter’s tweet, the UFC has removed the Englishman from its fan ranking pool. This allows to MMA community to devise their own rankings based on their opinions separate from the organization’s rankings.

Bresse was scheduled to fight Arroyo in a middleweight bout the past weekend. However, it was announced by the commentary team that the UFC had scrapped the fight as Breese withdrew due to an undisclosed medical issue.

While at this point in time it is not known if the UFC cut Breese or not, it is worth noting that the likes of Tyron Woodley and Jacare Souza who were recently cut were first removed from the ranking pool before parting ways with the promotion.
