Can Dominick Reyes bounce back after a two-fight skid at UFC Vegas 25?

Dominick Reyes made his UFC debut in June 2017 with a TKO win over Joachim Christensen. He then went on to win his next five fights that ultimately set up a title fight against Jon Jones in February 2020. He lost a close bout and is currently on a two-fight skid. Now, ‘The Devastator’ will aim to get back to the win column this weekend.

Jiri Prochazka made his UFC debut in July 2020. He stopped Volkan Oezdemir in the second round via KO at UFC 251. ‘Denisa’ is currently on an 11-fight win streak and will aim to build on that this weekend.

Reyes is primarily known for his striking and has secured 58% of his wins via T/KO. He has landed an impressive 4.88 significant strikes per minute in his UFC career and has absorbed just three per minute. Reyes will have a three-inch reach deficit against Prochazka. Hence, he will have to be extremely sharp defensively so as to not get caught with anything venomous ‘Denisa’ throws his way.

The fight between the two men will depend largely on who has a better defense. Both men are excellent strikers and can knock the other person out with one punch. However, given recent performances and results, ‘Denisa’ should be able to advance to 2-0 in the UFC.

Prediction: Jiri Prochazka via T/KO.
